A browser based digital poem in three parts

Aphiddd is a browser-based digital poem that uses a series of natural textures/shapes and animated texts to uncover the nature of a parasitic human connection.

Written and developed by Andy Campbell with a soundtrack by Barry Snaith, the work was featured as part of the Commiserate Chicago new media exhibition 2020 and in the Fall 2019 edition of The New River the internet’s oldest online journal of digital art and literature (established in 1996) and is also featured in the Electronic Literature Collection Volume 4.

Use the mouse and your mouse’s scroll wheel, or swipe/pinch your touch screen, to explore the poem. Press NEXT > to see the next poem in the sequence. The work is comprised of 3 sections. Use the volume icon in the top right hand corner to toggle between music and sound FX, sound FX only, or no sound.
