A fragmented digital poem inside a scanned piece of crumpled paper
Created by Andy Campbell in 2000, Paperwounds is a short, mouse-responsive experimental poem originally created in Flash exploring fragmentation and self-identity. Highlighted words inside the crumpled paper act as hotspots to trigger floating additional text/graphics including further crumpled paper-shapes, a broken compact disc, and an open book. Paperwounds sparked a work of short fiction called Writing by Numbers, featured in Route Publishing's newspaper in 2000 and performed live at The Wardrobe, Leeds, UK by Andy Campbell in 2001.
