Description
R is an experimental work of digital fiction created using the Coppercube game engine. Based around a protagonist who remembers experiencing a recurring dream during his childhood, the project is comprised of an explorable 3rd person 3D environment and an accompanying short story that was published on a website called Figment.

The work features collaborative writing with Jacob Welby and visual images generated using Aleph Null by Jim Andrews. The task within the surreal/abstract 3D environment is to piece together a memory represented by a series of fragmented texts, which, when collected, switch the screen into a ‘jigsaw mode’ where the text-pieces can be arranged using the mouse so that they potentially line up.
